Privacy policy
The short version: this site sets no cookies, the plugin keeps your data on your server, and the only personal data we ever hold is what you email us.

Who we are
Koloab is a WordPress intranet plugin made by Sam Lucas, operating from the United Kingdom. For anything privacy-related, contact support@koloab.com.
This website (koloab.com)
We set no cookies. koloab.com is a static website. We use Google Analytics 4 in cookieless Consent Mode: all storage signals are set to "denied", which means Google Analytics receives only anonymous, aggregated, cookieless pings (such as page views and approximate region) and writes nothing to your device. Because nothing is stored on your device, no consent banner is required.
- We do not run advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking of any kind.
- Fonts are served by Google Fonts; like any web request, your browser shares your IP address with Google's servers to fetch the font files.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) for security and capacity purposes, as virtually all web hosts do.
When you email us
If you email support@koloab.com — directly, via the contact page, or through the in-plugin support form (a Premium feature) — we receive your email address, your message, and, from the in-plugin form, basic diagnostic details about your site (site URL, Koloab/WordPress/PHP versions, active theme and plan). We use this information solely to answer you and resolve your issue, keep it only as long as the correspondence is useful, and never sell it or share it for marketing.
When you buy a licence
Purchases and licensing are handled by Freemius, our merchant of record. Freemius processes your payment details and licensing information under its own privacy policy; we never see or store your card details. We receive what's needed to operate your licence: your name, email address and plan.
Your intranet's data (the plugin)
This is the important one. The Koloab plugin runs entirely on your own WordPress hosting:
- Your files live in your WordPress Media Library, on your server.
- Your notices, news, team directory, contacts, users and analytics live in your WordPress database, on your server.
- We have no access to any of it. Nothing your team uploads or posts is ever transmitted to us.
If your organisation is the data controller for your staff's information, Koloab doesn't change that — the plugin is software you host, like your theme. You remain in control of where the data lives, who can see it and how it's backed up.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the usual rights over personal data we hold about you (realistically: support emails and licensing records) — access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. Email support@koloab.com and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the ICO.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with an updated date. We won't quietly weaken it.
